Greg’s Formula for Making Lemonade Out of Lemons

The following is a clip is an email Greg sent to me, following two successful days selling. It shows a positive attitude, humility and maturity. Greg is living the 7 Habits and influencing us all. We have all been in a similar situation before but probably did not react as well as he did. Greg writes:

“…….Of course, with the good comes the bad. I locked my keys in the car at one of my stops. Fortunately it was at the 10th company, the one I didn’t have an appointment with. It fortunately was just before my lunch break so I didn’t miss any of my scheduled appointments.

I had just started reading ‘Living the Seven Habits’ the night before and remembered:

BETWEEN STIMULUS AND RESPONSE, THERE IS A SPACE. IN THAT SPACE LIES OUR FREEDOM AND POWER TO CHOOSE OUR RESPONSE. IN OUR RESPONSE LIES OUR GROWTH AND OUR HAPPINESS.

I used the time waiting in the lobby for the locksmith to arrive to organize my notes on all my visits and write down each action item form each visit.”
